Why should you hire a personal training and/or a nutritional coach?

Sometimes you just need someone to have your back.

We all eat.  We all get up and sit down.  The question is, "How well are you doing them?".  When you hire someone to help you with a task, you want to learn from them, see results and enjoy the experience.

So often, exercises are done without much thought to why you are doing them or if you are doing them right.  The simple fact is, you are glad you are burning calories and getting it done.  But what if you had someone who could show you how to best use your time.  Offer you exercises that complimented your specific goals.  And made sure you were doing it all safely.

The same thing goes for nutritional coaching.  We all need to eat.  But do you know how to have your food work for you?  To make you feel more satisfied, more energized and even sleep better?  Those are just a few reasons to hire a coach.

What can you expect from me?

Seeing you, listening to you and guiding you is my goal.

You may think that I will tell you how to fix your failures.  Or tell you if you workout x amount of times a week you will meet your goals.

That may have been how you have approached losing weight and working out in the past.  It also may be why it led you to find me.  There is no one sizes fits all approach.  We are all different and that is what makes my job so much fun.  I get to learn who you are, what you believe and what you value.

How does your values and beliefs fit into losing weight or working out?

It is a huge part of the process and one that you may have neglected in the past.  If you want to make lasting changes in your life it is important for me to know what makes you, you.

You see, what we believe and what we value sets the tone for how we decide to take action or not take action.  Who would think that working out and losing weight starts with psychology?  Am I scaring you?  Let me ease your mind. Think back to a time you where on a diet.  You did everything you were told. You lost the weight.  A year later, the weight was back.  What was missing? The link between what you believe to be true and what your actions show. Long-term change happens when we accept who we are and understand ourselves.

Beyond learning about you and listening to you, we will have FUN.  Yes, this can be fun.  And you may even crave broccoli or getting in a workout.

Can you do this at home?

When it comes to working out it is important to remember that it isa gift to yourself.

You can most definitely workout and home, with little or no

additional accessories to purchase.  The most important thing to consider about where you chose to workout is the amount of distractions.  If working out is the gift you give to yourself make sure that gift is a good one.  Often times at home we allow other duties to distract us and working out becomes less of a priority. If you are committed to getting in a workout, choose the location that will allow you to focus your full attention on the workout.  Trust me, you will be glad you did.
